Entry Requirements
Applicants must meet one of the following:
Route 1 – Qualification Pathway
Aged 18+
Level 3 qualification in aesthetics or equivalent
Level 4 Anatomy & Physiology (or equivalent facial anatomy knowledge)
Experience in client consultation and skin assessment
OR
Route 2 – Experienced Practitioner (RPL Consideration)
Minimum of 2 years relevant aesthetics experience
Assessed at interview for eligibility
What You Will Learn
This qualification provides the theoretical knowledge and practical competence required to safely deliver skin needling treatments up to 0.5mm.
You will cover:
Health, safety and infection control specific to skin needling procedures
Skin structure, barrier function and wound healing principles
Indications and contraindications for skin needling treatments
Consultation, skin assessment and treatment planning within qualification scope
Device knowledge, including manual rollers and electronic microneedling pens
Treatment protocols for skin rejuvenation and texture refinement
Safe practical delivery under tutor supervision
Pre-treatment and post-treatment care
Managing expected skin responses and identifying adverse reactions
Professional standards, consultation documentation and record keeping
