Tips for building your dream beauty business in 2022
𝘼𝙧𝙚 𝙮𝙤𝙪 𝙨𝙚𝙡𝙛-𝙨𝙖𝙗𝙤𝙩𝙖𝙜𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙤𝙣 𝙮𝙤𝙪𝙧 𝙗𝙪𝙨𝙞𝙣𝙚𝙨𝙨 𝙙𝙧𝙚𝙖𝙢𝙨?
We're nearly at the end of Q1 (in the business world, that's three months of 2022 almost wrapped up 😱)
How fast is this year going! We wanted to check in and ask - have you made moves towards your goals? Are you feeling productive and excited about the goals you set?
Or do you now feel stuck, demotivated and as if your goals will be impossible to achieve?
If it’s the latter, don’t worry - you’re not alone!
So many of us self-sabotage when it comes to going after what we really want to create or achieve. This can happen in many forms: negative self talk, bad habits and unconscious behaviours, not planning out your time, being your own enemy instead of your friend!
The good news? You still have 9 MONTHS of the year (and a bit!) to make things happen. Imagine where you could be by the end of the year, with a bit of clarity and determination.
Our tips to transform your motivation and build your dream business:
Make a list of all of the steps you need to take to get to where you want to be. This can be super detailed or basic, whatever works for your brain. We find being detailed actually makes it more helpful, because you can then turn this into actionable steps. See next tip!
From these steps, make yourself a list of actionable tasks. Things that you can get done within a few hours, or over the course of a week tends to work best.
Set each task a realistic deadline. Realistic is a KEY word here, as nothing kills productivity like over promising yourself!
Get your diary or print out a free calendar printable and plan out when you're going to do each task over the next few months. Again, be realistic! You’ll find your productivity skyrockets from the simple motion of ticking something off your to do list.
Find your business role model. This can be anyone you like, from the same industry or from a different industry. Dedicate your time to watching at least 5 interviews or reading 5 articles and gain insight on how they run their business, started up and stayed focused (or if they don’t have that kind of content, you could be brave and slip in to their DMs to ask some questions! You never know, you could find a new business mentor.)
Set a goal to reduce your screentime. Yep, we know it makes our stomachs feel queasy to look at our real screen time but it’s the only way to shock ourselves into the realisation of how much of our lives we spend scrolling. Based on your %, set yourself a new, achievable goal. Then use the time you’d usually scroll at night to read a business book, find a new beauty training course to up level your skills, listen to a podcast or plan your week. You’ll be amazed at how this simple change in your daily routine helps to expand your mind, believe in your ideas and increases your focus!
So, you have Q2, Q3, Q4 left of the year to make your business dreams a reality. We can’t wait to see what you create!
